Impression-to-Product-Page-View Rate

Impression-to-product-page-view rate measures how many users who see your app in search or browse results go on to open the full product page, the step immediately before the install decision.

This sits between raw search visibility and conversion: an impression is counted when your app appears in a results list, and a product page view is counted when a user taps through to see the full listing. It's effectively the same measurement as tap-through rate, viewed from App Store Connect's native analytics rather than from an ads dashboard.

A low rate here, while impressions are healthy, usually points to the icon, name, or subtitle failing to earn the tap — the elements visible in the compact search row. A healthy rate here paired with a low install rate points instead to the full product page (screenshots, description, reviews) failing to close.

Reading these two rates together is a fast way to diagnose which half of the funnel needs work before assuming the fix is a keyword problem at all.
