Is there a penalty for cramming too many keywords into my app name?
Apple caps the app name at 30 characters and has specifically restricted keyword-stuffed names in the past, so 'too many keywords' mostly runs into a hard character limit before it becomes an algorithmic penalty question.
Within that 30-character limit, a name that reads as a list of keywords rather than an actual app name can also hurt conversion — users searching and browsing respond better to a name that reads naturally than one that's obviously optimized for search over readability.
