Can I target the same keyword in both the title and subtitle?

You can, but it's rarely the best use of character space — the algorithm already indexes a term once it appears anywhere in your metadata, so repeating it across title and subtitle doesn't compound relevance the way adding a second distinct term would.

The stronger use of that duplicate space is a second keyword candidate in whichever field the repeated term currently occupies. Two indexed terms generally beat one term indexed twice.

The exception is a core brand or category term so central to the app's identity that natural phrasing puts it in both places anyway (an app literally named after its main feature, for instance) — that's a natural-language outcome, not a deliberate stuffing strategy, and it's fine.
